Tofino may have its Sara McLaughlins and John Travoltas, but Ukee is catching up fast on the celebrity front. Unconfirmed reports are circulating that Pee-Wee Herman has been sighted in town, along with a guy who was once a roadie for the Grateful Dead and a woman who claims to be Cher’s manicurist. Oh, yeah, plus there’s Jason what’s-his-name.
So far this year seems to be a slow start to the tourist season, but we at the Tattler have no doubt Ukee will eventuall become the world class celebrity destination it deserves to be.
